Kia ora koutou

Just a short note this week. As I write this I’m keeping an eye on the time, as soon it will be time to head out the door to support our Lumsden students, and our Northern Zone students at the Southland Cross Country. We wish them the very best of luck, especially as the course might be a little muddy!

There are quite a few students receiving Bronze Awards at the moment. Congratulations to all those who have reached this milestone. This is for earning 20 Gotchas which is quite an achievement. The Gotchas are part of our PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning) approach that aims ultimately to improve social and academic outcomes for our students. It won’t be long before we have some Silver award recipients I’m sure and perhaps even some Golds by the end of the year! What a great goal to have and I know some are striving to reach this level. Just remember, be kind and always try your best.

Have a great weekend everyone and good luck to those competing in sports over the weekend.
