Alert Level 3 has presented some new challenges to us this week but we appreciate the support we’ve had from the school community. It has been a learning experience for us all. It’s been interesting and a little surreal being back at school with our newly formed ‘school bubble’. We’ve had a small contingent of staff onsite to oversee the learning of six students who continue to participate in distance learning, including video calls with teachers and peers. As I write this there are a small number of snapping fish in front of me doing some fitness...and now they’re whale sharks! Things do change quickly.

I’ve enjoyed taking the opportunity to photo bomb whenever I can too (appropriate distancing observed), which has enabled me to say Hi to lots of students this week. I’ve seen some of the learning they’ve done and was surprised earlier in the week with an ANZAC service video clip created by one of our students.

I hope that with the new relaxed rules of what we are now able to participate in that you find the opportunity to do something you haven’t been able to do for a while. Stay safe in your bubbles and we look forward to seeing you all soon.

Ka kite ano,
